May at the Market!
Even though the weather didn’t cooperate fully, the market was definitely busy. Vegetables you might see this month: lots of greens, radishes, turnips, beets, carrots, and green garlic.
On May 2, we will have our Spring celebration. Ed, from the Green Sage Cafe, will be cooking up some goodies. There will be a table for the kids to transplant vegetables. Don’t forget Scribbles, the clown, is here the First Wednesday of the month for face painting. The Madison County Extension will be at the market to answer your gardening questions.
If you filled out those little yellow slips, you might want to be at the market on May 2. The drawing for the basket will be happening!
Don’t forget to visit our vendors: we have locally produced meats, cheese, breads and baked goods, plant starts and crafts like soap, quilted bags and reusable sandwich bags. Seafood is caught off the coast of NC and brought back here weekly.
